Candidate Bio
My parents moved to Salmon Arm in 1970. I went to school at North Canoe Elemantary and graduated from Salmon Arm Secondary in 1984. After 10 years away, my husband Bruce and I moved back in 1994 to raise our 3 daughters, Kailey, Robbi, and Tessa. I now have 7 beautiful grandchildren, 5 of who live in Salmon Arm.
I owned and operated my own floral business downtown for 16 years and still own that commercial building today.
In 2010, I was the floral manager at Safeway. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, curling, boating, pottery, photography and traveling.
I served 3 terms on Salmon Arm City council from 2005-2014. I was very excited to get re-elected to council 2018-2022. I have served on various committees and boards in my 17 years on council. I always wanted our community to host a big sporting event and my team was successful with our bid to host the 2024 BC 55+ games. This was a huge economic generator for our community and the team came away with the biggest “Legacy Fund” seen in many years.
I love Salmon Arm and want to stay involved in shaping our future.
